Firm to present topics in green building throughout Fall 2008
October 13- Keene State College, Keene, NH - Thomas RC Hartman, AIA, will discuss BIM - Building Information Modelling - the promises and the reality of information-rich 3D modelling in architectural practice for Randall Walter (Bensonwood)'s BIM studio at Keene State.
October 22 - Williams College, Williamstown, MA - Building Sustainably - Examples from the Practice: Bruce Coldham, AIA, will discuss integrated design and construction process at the Moomaw Residence (Williamstown, MA), and Student Housing at College of the Atlantic (Bar Harbor, ME).
November 10 - University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA - Both partners will be there to present an overview of two projects: the Moomaw Residence, and the Student Housing at College of the Atlantic, as part of Craig Marden's class on Energy Efficient Housing in the Building Materials and Wood Technology program.
November 18 - Build Boston 2008, Boston, MA - Bruce will be part of a panel discussion, "The aesthetics and economics of renewable energy in residential design". Panelists include financiers and practitioners in the feild of renewables and green building at BB, on Tuesday from 8:30 to noon A06 - Registration Required.
December 4 - UMASS - Public Lecture on Sustainability in the Built Environment - "The Green Maple Tour - Canada Profiled." 12:30-1:30pm at 105 Holdsworth Hall on the UMASS campus.
