Coldham Vice-Chairs Building Energy 2010
This year, working with Betsy Petit, FAIA, of Building Science Corporation, Bruce Coldham, AIA, will act as Vice Chair for the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association's annual conference, Building Energy 10.
His Vice Chair position is part of a two year commitment to leadership at NESEA, in which participants work first as Vice Chair, and the following year as Chairperson. NESEA intends, by this structure, to create a smoother transition from one conference team to another and to provide long-term continuity in the staging and execution of its largest annual event.
Building Energy 10 - "Reduce Retrofit Renew" - will take place on March 9-11, 2010 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, MA. The conference, workshops, and trade show are open to anyone interested in buildings, design, and energy. The conference regularly attracts thousands of architects and builders, policymakers and renewable energy installers, manufacturers, students, activists, and planners.
The Public Forum, which is open to the General Public, is also produced this year by Coldham&Hartman Architects. "Case Studies of the Way Forward" is a panel discussion of creative solutions to the global crises ahead. Featuring John Abrams (South Mountain Company), Tina Clarke (Transition Towns US), Linda Wigington (Thousand Home Challenge, ACI) and Sharon Astyk (Causabon's Book, A Nation of Farmers).
